Tom Haupt is an American Coach and Trainer and the Founder of Be Elite Basketball Academy. Having coached basketball for 41 years in the U.S. and Australia, Coach Haupt develops elite players, not just great players. He is a teacher, coach, advisor and mentor coaching on the American style game. Many of his players have gone on to play at American colleges and in the NBA.
Over the years Coach Haupt has coached organised boys and girls basketball teams in the U.S. Public School System for 11 years, AAU ball for 18 years, 5 seasons with the Gold Coast Basketball Association and currently coaches at A. B. Paterson College. He's attended and sponsored countless coaching clinics both in the U.S. and Australia and has given individual basketball lessons every year since 1982.
Coach Haupt is not just a basketball coach, he's also a best-selling author, international speaker and master trainer working in the human potential field for over 17 years. He's traveled to 4 continents, 161 cities and trained over 10,000 people from all walks of life on personal responsibility, accountability, leadership and maximizing the human mind to produce desired results. Through his leadership trainings, he empowers people to develop highly effective habits through taking ownership of their responsibilities to achieve peak performance. In 2009 he published his best-seller, Time-Out! Winning Strategies for Playing a Bigger Game in Life, a book written for people to maximise their full potential.
